Make, Do, Have and Take


These are the most important  verbs that we use in our conversation. Generally we get confuse that where  to use “Make” “Do” “Have” and “Take”. Let’s learn how to use it properly,


Make



This verb is used for building, constructing or creating . It also used  to refer to preparing a food.
  • Make dress
  • Make  food
  • Make  a cup of tea



He made a few mistake  in the exam (Always made is use before the word Mistake).
  • I had to make the dinner last night.
  • She made a mistake.
  • I can’t work when a children  make a lots of noise.

We use verb “Do” to refer to any action, perform or task and  to refer work for any kind.

Have




The  verb have is used  to refer whenever the subject of the sentence is plural. The word Have  is also used with some pronoun ( you / we / they / I ) and plural names.


For example:
  • Your have a toothpaste on your chin.
  • We have a meeting at 12 PM
  • I have  a good friends
  • I think you have some  problem in your mind.
  • I have  something  for your.


Take




We use “Take” in lots of phrases daily especially with nouns. The verb ‘take’ depends on noun:
  • Take advantage (of something)
  • Take  an interest (in something)
  • Take a break (in something)
  • Take a look (of something)
  • Take  a risk  (in something)
  • Take  responsibilities (for something)
  • Take  time (to do something)

For example:
  • I’m going to take four exams this month.
  • She took lots of photos on holiday.
  • I just going to take a shower. (We can also use ‘have‘ instead of ‘take’).
  • I am very good at taking decision. (We can also use the  word ‘make’ instead of ‘take’).
